Since July 11, the wearing of masks has been mandatory on all public space.
However, some people still walk around with a scarf around their face or simply their T-shirt in front of their mouth.
Although the mask is a scaring visual symbol that represents the pandemic, it is important to understand that in order to limit the spread of the virus as much as possible, and to make the whole population safe, it is essential that all citizens wear masks. In addition to the health measures to be applied, wearing a mask makes it possible to protect yourself but also to protect others (See article "What health measures should be apply in companies?").
It is true that seeing people wearing masks is a constant reminder of the strange times we live in. But to be able to continue to see our family and friends, return to a normal life and avoid a second wave, we have to adapt and become aware of wearing masks.
Wearing the mask correctly can reduce the risk of infection to others by up to six times. Wearing a mask does not mean that you are sick; it prevents you from being infected by someone who is asymptomatic and would not wear a mask.
"For me the mask is a self-containment, I confine myself, I create a bubble and the bubble in front of me is also in self-containment, we are two self-confined so it should go well" Nathan Clumeck Belgian Professor and infectologist
Today, thanks to the manufacture of community (comfort) masks, you will not be disturbed when wearing the mask. You will not be irritated or oppressed by a mask that sticks to your skin and prevents you from breathing properly.
